    im writing my PS for engineering and i was looking in the internet for inspiration on where to start and i started my second paragraph with i want to do engineering to help improve peoples life but i have seen many examples of that so will i be caught? also i was talking about moon landing but i saw one that looks similar to that but about commercial aircraft where i said that what seemed impossible at one stage had been made possible but there was another one that sounds similar!

    Stop looking at other people's and the problem will be solved. Write about why YOU want to study engineering. If you copy, you will be caught. Ucas runs all applications through plagiarism software and sends any percentage of similarity regarded as suspicious (I have some vague idea that it's over 10% but can't remember where I got that from, so don't quote me) to the universities for them to decide what to do about it. Be yourself and it won't be a problem.
