I don't think so, its just a rare blood type.

Although it does mean that you will have to give blood rarely regularally and your name may be put on a database as a person with this blood type.

O+ is the most common blood type ¬.¬

Reply 4

It is fair common.

I'm B negative. There's only 1 in 100 people who have my blood. The blood site should tell you. It told me all about the problems that could concur with mine.

Reply 6

O positive is actually the most common type of blood, no known problems i don't think (i'm O positive as well)
O positive blood can be given to anyone with a positive blood group
People who are O positive can only receive O positive or O negative blood

Uh yeah. Although just go into google and type "giving blood"

But here it is: http://www.blood.co.uk/pages/all_about.html

Your blood is the most common with 37% of the population having it. Mine is second rarest with only 2% if the population having it. *shrugs* Best not get knocked over then. lol.

Precisely, and I'm AB +ve so I should also be the one worrying instead of the OP (even though I'm a universal receiver ).

To the OP: You should be grateful as you can donate your blood to practically anyone. Donating blood leaves you feeling great, I swear!

why are you sad? :s-smilie:
you say it like being O+ is equivalent to having AIDS or something.seriously.

It doesn't matter if you're a rare blood type that much anyway. If you were knocked over by a car tomorrow and it was an emergency, they wouldn't go round looking for blood of your type, rather they'd give you o- blood which can be received by anyone - don't panic guys!!

O+ isnt even rare though  AB- is the rarest...O+ is the most common..as many people have said...
