Could anyone explain the german tenses to me...please.

every verb has 6 different tenses.

    a) Plusquamperfekt:

Nachdem wir die Prüfung geschrieben hatten,
After we had done the exam,

    b) Perfekt

    haben wir gefeiert.
    we have celebrated.

I think the use of the present perfect tense in German differs from the use in English. e.g. 'They have been married' is literally translated 'sie sind verheiratet gewesen' and 'gewesen' implies that they are not married anymore

    c) Präteritum

    Die Schule war vorbei.
    School was over.

    d) Präsens

    Jetzt packe ich meinen Koffer.
    Now, I'm packing my suitcase.

    e) Futur I

Morgen werde ich in Urlaub fahren.
Tomorrow, I will go on holiday.

    f) Futur II

Nach drei Wochen Urlaub werde ich den ganzen Prüfungsstress vergessen haben.
After three weeks of holiday I will have forgotten the whole examination stress.

Was immer Du wissen willst, frag einfach, ich helfe gerne.

If you @ me, I can also help within the next two days?
