M2 help (Projectiles) watch

    Hi, I've been given this sheet with some Projectiles questions, and I've been struggling with these 2 questions. Question 4D and 4E to be exact, the rest of that question is quite simple. Also, I am completely stuck with question 5, so if anyone can help me, I'd be very grateful!

    For a projectile, neglecting air resistance, the horizontal component of the velocity vector. The vertical component can be found using Vy = Uy - gt. Once you have the components of the velocity, just use Pythagoras and trigonometry to get the maginute and angle made with the horizontal. (Draw a diagram)

    As for question 5, I think it is asking you to find the Cartesian equation for the projectile. To do this you need to set up two equations for x and y in terms of t, and then rearrange your x equation to get it in terms of t. This can then be substituted into your equation for y.
