Wasn't there some restriction brought in about having to close by 3am and they wanted it to be 4am?

I was very disappointed, as I walked along Broad St at 2am this morning, to find Hassan's missing.

Ahmed can invariably be found in Cherwell's news section, where he crops up weekly. I did hear that his brother had died though.

Ali hasn't been around either, at any time of day. Very sad. One of the St. John's ones was running ("Roving Gourmet"? Some stupid name anyway) but I haven't seen many others.

Was very sad to miss Hasan's cheesy chips after escape on friday. St Giles van was not half as good.

There use to be 2 on St Giles too...one of them was called "The Best Kebab Van" or something (and I hear from my male friends that it was pretty damn good). Now there's only a silly named one instead :frown:

Hassan's was there yesterday evening at about 7pm I'm sure...I haven't been out much lately recently so I can't comment.

Personally, I'm a Medhi's fan (jonathan you do know that he's a member of our JCR don't u?) - especially his new van...much cleaner than most of the others!!!

I've been hearing whispers that Hassan has been shut down for staying open past three too often - its a sad day, as no one can compare to his cheesy chips. :frown:

I for one am distraught about this development. In fact, Hassan knows my order - I don't even need to tell him what I want, he cares so much for his regulars that he knows the precise detail of how I like my chicken burger/cheesy chips, which sauce (obviously mayo AND ketchup), how much salad (everything apart from onions) and how many I want (2 chicken burgers or 1 chicken burger and cheesy chips).

New College is in mourning for Hassans. Where have they gone??!

Someone I know said they'd seen the name "Hassan" on an arrest list (not entirely sure where this guy works in Oxford that allowed him to see an arrest list!)
