    Personally, I quite enjoyed it at AS level, although it did get quite monotonous at some points but I think that was down to the specific exam board (OCR) and they are changing the spec now so what I did won't be studied anymore. As for advice on how to do well, I would say that you should aim to make your notes as early as possible, but most of all go through every past paper and incorporate the mark schemes into your notes. The computing books can often be poor so you will likely be heavily reliant on the past papers. Additionally I would start leaning a programming language at home as it will not only help you in the course but it may help you in your personal statement, for any subject, but in particular a computing course (you want to be as competitive as possible.
