Umm not quite.

I've been listening to classical music for as long as I can remember. Although it does make me cooler in front of all the lads, I wouldn't say I became any wiser.
It's good for feeling good (unless you're listening to one of of Satie's Gymnopedies )

I don't like Classical or Romantic period music. I prefer Baroque period and medieval lute music. My IQ is 68. I also listen to Handel, Corelli, Mozart, Albinoni, Boccherini and Schubert. Military marches, Loyalist music and traditional British music. So really IQ is meaningless.

Doubt it. Beethoven's 9th is a little overused/I've probably listened to it a bit much. Love the 7th though, particularly the first two movements. And most Bach and Vivaldi I've heard is awesome; I just put on those long videos of loads of different stuff so don't know many names.

A single anecdote isn't conclusive evidence, IQ tests don't measure intelligence (they measure IQ), and the fact that two 'things' have happen doesn't mean there is a direct causal link between them.

That said, I'm for Dvorak and the Romantics all the way!

Vivaldi's the four seasons, is amazing. I am more into classical music around christmas than as a year round thing. To each their own.
