This video claims Apple Mac book pro are not showing claimed resolutions due to scaling what does scaling mean and why can't the Apple Mac book pro show the claimed resolution? See from 1:36 onwards to see the bit about scaling. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P2pEPUuKqu4 Also why does this review (under the 2D Image Quality tab) claim the Sony KDL32-W653 has a refresh rate of 50hertz instead of the manufacturers 200 hertz isn't this against the goods descriptions act or whichever law governs goods have to be properly advertised with which features they have? http://www.digitalversus.com/tv-tele...5225/test.html

As the video explains, at these huge resolutions content displayed at a 1:1 pixel ratio (so the actual resolution of the display) becomes so tiny that it can become illegible, Windows does the exact same thing on laptops with similarly high resolutions. It's not a matter of deception, it's a matter of usability.
