Just started my second year of university, so renting flat with 5 mates. We have a electric budget of £40 each (so for the flat its £240) per month. Ive found the electric meter, and we want to keep an eye on what we are using so we dont go over.
Just wondered how i can keep check on this? What calculations do i need?
Also, is there anything that the landlord should tell us about (legally even?)? For example, do they have to tell us the price per kwh that is being paid, ect?
Thanks in advance

You should know your energy suppliers so you can look on their websites and find the cost per kWh. Although it can be hard to find.
