Anyone have experience applying with them, since my local store is recruiting? Any tips about CV/Cover Letter/Interviews?

I've always wanted to work there (having worked in a toy shop, clothing shop and rugby shop over the past....) so it's not like I don't have experience. It'd just be nice to work in an environment I know a lot about for once (rather than smelly old clothes, who needs 'em anyway? XDD)

Just wondered if anyone has any feedback from working there or any advice. Thanks in advance. : )

When I applied I just did a standard CV and then when talking about interests added what my favourite game was. Interview wise from what I can remember (my interview was over a year ago) they asked things like what your favourite game character was and why, a game you hate and then asked you to sell it back to them and what accessories you would add when selling a console that kind of thing. Good luck!

GAME has stores left? LOL. I thought they went in administration. I had like 4 different GAME stores near my house and all of them closed. ;(

Haha, there are two in my town! Maybe my town is just full of gamers...? xD It's always really really busy in there regardless of the time.

Thank you, this is really helpful! I'm thinking it wouldn't be too bad. I can just imagine they get a lot of applicants and it will be hard for them to decide.

Lucky you. However, GAME use to sell overpriced stuff and offered you like £2 in store credit when you trade in like 25 different games. At least we still have Cex

I love GAMES reward system, where you get points. I've actually gotten a lot of games with a huge discount because I regularly buy things from there. I find it's just a really nice surprise when you go in to pick up a game and find you have £10 off. ^^

Thank you, I'm going to take my CV in tomorrow so we shall see what happens!

Hmm, that'd be hard! I love the Final Fantasy series, and Pokemon a lot. And Animal Crossing.

Erm, favourite game of all time that means the most to me is FF9. My mum bought it for me when I was a kid and I learnt a lot of things that I still think are valuable as I was playing it. I'm tempted to replay it now to be honest! xD Yourself?
