I get this too, where I wake up but am still dreaming, so if someone wakes me up I will say wierd things to them like 'Just got to finish doing this..' or will talk to them as if I'm awake whilst still kind of asleep before I get up. Does feel wierd, but I never considered it to be unusual... I think a lot of people get it tbh.

It's never happened to me, but as long as the images don't persist it's unlikely that there's a problem. See your GP if you're worried.

That does feel really wierd, and its also wierd when you dream that you are dreaming! And when u dream something so real, u don't know if it happened or not... Like you dream you said something to a friend, and worry you really said it!

I beg to differ... the ones that freak me out the most are the ones where you wake up in your dream but you're actually still asleep. It's particularly messed up when it happens more than once in the same dream

yeah the one's where u know ur in a dream are scary, especially when its a bad dream and u can't wake up... whats wierd with me is that i blink really hard in those dreams and it seems to do the trick and i wake up. One time i dreamt this little boy hitting me, and it really really hurt... like it wasn't like i was in a dream it just genuinely seemed to be hurting, i must'v been sleeping in a wierd position or something making my body hurt in real life that was being interpreted in the dream... anyway i ran in some room and tried blinking but it took a while, the little kid ran into the room and i managed to run off again and blink some more and eventually woke up... what a relief!

yeah, theyre called lucid dreams. and apparently the only things you cant do in them is change the light intensity ie turning on a light switch will make no difference, or look at digital things such as digital clocks. How random is that!

I can talk and do things in my sleep. I will answer my phone and take a call or read a text but not reply and forget about it til I find evidence when awake in the morning.
I will also have whole conversations. I told my ex off for peeling the duvet back and it somehow led to him telling me his brother had peeled back all the bananas (he semi lives at our house) and left them on the side. I was really distressed as wed bought new bananas that day and in the morning woke up, ran downstairs panicing and on the warpath to see all of them still in the sealed packet. Strangness!

LOL i remember when i was staying at a friends house and we'd decided to play cards. she didn't know where they were cz they belonged to her brother, so she woke him up to ask him, and he held his hands out in the way you hold out cards and was saying in all seriousness 'here you go' and she was like 'er... my name is bla bla, i need you to tell me where the CARDS are' and he got angry and said 'Look take them if u want' and mimed the action of throwing the pack of cards out infront of him. He didn't recall any of this the next day! i think their family has wierd sleeping habits anyway, cz my friend sleeps with one of her eyes open. My uncle does too which was a bit scary when i was sat opposite him on a long train ride and me and my brother thought he was just looking at us and similing, mind you Both eyes were open, and i smiled back then i got tired of it and i thought he's frozen or something until his kid came screaming in the the cabin and he suddenly woke up . wierd.

I get that sometimes. If I'm woken up on a weekend or something, I open my eyes, look around, then realise it's early and try to go back to sleep - restore the images of the dream I was having, make up a new storyline and Yay I'm sleeping again and the dream keeps going. I do that every time I have a lovely dream lol

I get this. Except its really bad, usually its nightmares and stuff. It's really painful and i just want to cry. It happened when I was at a friends, and they had to calm me down because I was so shaken. :frown:

I scream in my sleep sometimes (as well as the talking) and I will walk up and see parts of my dream in my room and be convinced it's real and happening.
I've punched people before during it! I figure everyone with a good imagination get's it occasionally!

Sometimes it’s really disappointing to be in an exciting dream and then wake up to find it isn’t real. :frown:
