i've just started it and i'm finding it really interesting - we learn about case studies (doing social influence at the moment). i'd say go for it if you have an interest in it

AS Psychology can be a bit tedious at times. However, at A2 it is very interesting.

What do you learn?
In AS psychology last year, I learnt about:
  • Approaches in psychology- cognitive, behavioural, psychodynamic, humanistic, biological and social learning theory.
  • Biopsychology- nerves, nervous system, cortical specialisation and the fight/flight response.
  • Sex and gender- cultural variations, androgyny, Klinefelter's/Turner's syndrome.
  • Research methods
  • Autism- biological and cognitive explanations and treatment.
  • Social influence- Milgram, Asch, Obedience and conformity.
  • Social facilitation- evaluation apprehension, some other stuff
