    Hmm you lose 1 mark I think it needed to be:

    N-(g) + e- --> N2-(g).

    Chlorine was the oxidisign agent- it was reduced (gained e-) and thereby oxidised P (0 -> +3 oxidation state). I think i got a good A in Unit 1.

    For the calculations did you get 108dm^3 for the 2nd question (412.5g for the first one or something??)
    cool, so i got it right then?!...
    wat did u put (on paper 1) for the very 1st question, where u had t say wat the atom was with 5proton and 5 neutron..i put B+ with 11 mass number and 5 atomic number..and then where it said what formula u get when this reacts with chlorine, i put BCl3 is this right?!?!?!?!?

    Why B+?
    It seems to be asking for an atom so it should be Boron-10

    Yes. BCl3. It appears in the specimen paper.

    B+ because it shows it had lost 1 electron to become 10... if u see what i mean!

    Yes I see, but it is incorrect
    There are several isotopes of Boron except Boron-11.
    The relative atomic mass is 10.81 so I think there must be some B-10 or even B-9. So I reckon the question is asking for the B-10 isotope

    yeah that sounds right.thats what i put. the mass number and atomic no don't tell u about electrons anyway

    I put down potassium dichromate, but i totally forgot to put the number (VI) after it. So i have no clue if i'll get the mark.

    it doesnt matter if it has (VI) or not
    -ate corresponds to the highest ox state of the element
    e.g. sulphate, phosphate
