I'm doing the wjec exam board for A level spanish and one of the things that I have to do is an oral exposé which is a 5 minute presentation on a film, book or region of spain/spanish speaking country, and I will have a discussion on it in Spanish after. I'm just wondering if anyone has done it on a region of Spain, and what sort of things they had to know about and discussed.

Muchos gracias

If you get a choice, avoid the region! It's far more open-ended than a book or film and so the questions afterwards can be on anything. If you don't believe me, open an SN4 paper and read the region essay questions! :eek4:

I did mine on El Laberinto del Fauno (which we all hated) but at least we could choose an aspect of the film, write the exposé (which is 4 min really, and some examiners will cut you off after 4 min, some will give you 5) and then study some criticism of the film and prepare questions on the aspects.

If you get to choose your own topic though (we didn't), and you're not doing it for SN4, I recommend La Casa de Bernarda Alba. It's a short play with a lot you can say about it.
