I'm a 17 yr old girl and still a virgin, I'm not embarrassed by it now but am wondering if people at uni next year will think its weird because i'll most likely still be a virgin then. I wasn't worried about it until someone at school said it was unusual and weird.

No one going into university is a virgin. Just like university is like all those adult videos about college you see on the internet with alcohol, drugs and girls throwing themselves at guys.
I should insert a notice here that sarcasm was used extensively in the previous paragraph.
Whoever told you that being a virgin is unusual and weird is so stupid that to point out to them that they are stupid would be like trying to teach a dog how to fly a plane. Don't argue with a stupid person because they'll beat you with experience.

And yes it's a bigger "achievement" than continuing a dry spell after never knowing what sex feels like.
Most people who have had sex think going only a couple months without is major.

Personally, I aint going to uni a virgin.
No way.
But that's just me and I have plenty of friends who are already at uni and are virgins. It's more common than you might think! Three of my friends are virgins currently having a great time at freshers
plus you have another year to go, so who knows..?
