What specific type of material may a glue gun be made of - i mean the casing, not the glue sticks.

Thanks

I just spent a little while researching it for you, and unfortunately I couldn't find anything good results (it only came up with websites telling me what material the glue was made from, not the actual gun itself), so I'm guessing they're made from normal plastic. Apparently there are "hot guns" and "cold guns", so I guess these may be made from slightly different components.

Depends on the quality of the glue gun but probably ranging from the same kind of plastic fake sunglasses are made of to the same kind of plastic angle grinder cases are made of.

Polyamide is used for the housing on power tools.

It is a thermoset plastic.

I work for a company that produces glue guns and other types of power tools, we use a polypropylene casing as it can withstand higher temperatures.
