How much emphasis on legal work experience at UoM

I've tried emailing local solicitor firms and none of them can offer me any work experience shadowing or doing anything else, I'm getting really desperate.

So I was just wondering if anyone has any idea on how much emphasis Manchester put on legal work experience (Manchester university is the uni I really want to go to)

I don't know about Manchester specifically but a lot of unis care more that you've engaged with the law on some level. This doesn't necessarily need to be work exp/shadowing. You can also go to your local court and watch cases and explain on your personal statement what you found interesting etc.

That's a lot more impressive than doing photocopying or making tea etc
