oops...didn't mean it to be annoymous, and now can't edit my text speak...i'm sorry!

Yes that happens to me all the time. I always have premonitions or even dreams that come true. It's quite freaky really.

Reply 3

I did once - it was just before the Hatfield train crash. Freaked me out completely, as I don't usually believe in 'premonitions' or anything like that.

How specific are your 'feelings'?

Reply 4

I have constant bad feelings about most things... when my grandad was ill in hospital i had this horrible feeling one day that he had died so i called my dad to ask if everything was ok and a few hours later it happened :frown:

Reply 5

I get those feelings alot but they're not normally very specific.

I once had a dream that an old lady where I work had broken her arm from being pulled too hard. When I went to work that day she'd got a broken arm - the same arm but people assumed she'd fallen. I was a bit freaked out by it, but on closer inspection I decided it couldn't have been just an accident, so I reported it and somebody was found guilty of abuse and fired.

Most random day of my life.

I think you misunderstand deja vus. It's just a neurological issue, whereby your brain catches up with itself.

Reply 8

^^That's not necessarily true ... but that's the theory going round in scientific circles, anyway. It's one of the hardest things to investigate, I suppose.

Reply 9

My fiance believes dejavous means that you were destined to be somewhere at that particular time.... wether that is true or not I have no idea.

Reply 10

Oh yeah. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it freaks me out.

Reply 11

yep i get those feelings before i break up with a girl i wake up with a bad feeling then i broke up with my gf its happend twice and before bad exam results

Reply 12

Yes I do. I know how I am going to die, in perfect detail. It doesn't frighten me anymore because I know I'm not young when it will happen but I still haven't learnt to drive a car :frown:

I think sometime you get the feeling something bad is going to happen, like getting bad grades or breaking up with someone because in your subconsious you know you didn't work hard enough or your relationship isn't going so well but it is so freaky when it happens.

Reply 13

Has no one heard of self-fulfilling prophecy? I know this doesn't relate to predicting the Hatfield train crash etc, but if you believe that something bad is going to happen to you, then it can affect your behaviour and is more likely to happen.

Why do you think there are more accidents on Friday 13th?

Reply 14

I find that I end up visiting or experiencing many places and situations I dream about, often years later.
I also tend to get a feeling of foreboding before a breakup, but I think that it is probably subconscious. However, I once had a hunch that my ex was seeing someone else behind my back, even though I had no way of knowing and my ex wasn't the most honest or scrupulous of people. Unfortunately, I turned out to be correct. :frown:

Deja vus people - not vous

Means 'seen before' not 'you already'

Or, déjà vu?!
