Methodist International House, opinions please!

Hi!

I'm a Phd student from Barcelona. I'm going to be on a research stay at the University of Bristol during the summer and I'm looking for accommodation. The only residence that can offer me a room from June is the Methodist International House (the others are not available until July).

I have to pay a diposit in advance but before I'd like to know opinions from people who have stayed in this hall and be sure that is a good and reliable place to stay. I tend to worry a lot about staying in a place that I don't know!!!

Thank you very much!
Gea.

Thank you for replying, fazorme!

Does anybody else know anything about this residence? The truth is that I want to book a room there because it's the only hall free in June, but I'm not methodist and I'm worried because maybe is a place where religion is very important, I don't know...Do you find it correct to stay there even if you are not a religious person?

Thank you again and forgive my insistence...I'll appreciate any comment!

"The house exists to provide a home for International and British students in the belief that people of different races and religions have much to gain from the interplay of their traditions in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual trust."

Doesn't sound like it matters that you're not a Methodist...

I'm living there from September. I had a look round and it's really nice, and the wardens said they have people of all different religions (and none) living there, so don't worry about it. THe wardens were really friendly too - I got a good impression overall.

Good luck finding accom!
