I feel like this sometimes too. I guess you just have to keep plodding along. Do you go to school?? if so you should have some youth wokers there, and they do self esteem classes,i have found them very useful.

How long have you been feeling this way?? Is it just recently?

Find something about yourself that is better than somebody else. It will work, I promise. Eg. "I'm cleverer/better dressed than him/her" etc. Sounds horrible, and of course don't say that to their faces.

I dont go to school, im eighteen now. Currently I dont do anything, just sit at home practicing guitar for september when I start a BTEC full time course in guitar. I try to go out with friends and stuff but rarely get to, and when I do it just forces my self esteem down further because I cant have fun or anything.

well, maybe just do things that make you happy. And then when you start your course i am sure there wil be someone there to support you, is it at college, because if you have applied already, you can use there facilties so you would be able to get support. Just a thought. Do your friends no how you feel?

I dont want to sound like an idiot, but nothing makes me happy. And I could get a job but that would defeat the purpose of doing guitar. I need to practice in order to get into the music practice course in september.

When are your auditions for the course (sorry, assumed you had already got a place)?

Either way, there are 6 months until September!! Surely you'd get bored playing your guitar 24/7 for 6 months! Why not just get a part-time job & spend your spare days & the evenings practising the guitar. What about advertising as a guitar teacher for beginners in your local area?
