you don't really need to do it for probabilities... however, if you make a mistake you'll get 0. Where as if you explained how you did something, you might get some method marks even if your final answer is wrong...

I'm pretty sure you need to write formulaes and other stuff when you are finding s.d. or mean. How will they know if you've found sd yourself? You might have copied it from someone sitting next to you. You know what i mean, :wink:

lol but surely you could also have copied the formula from them :wink:
I think though that it *is* a good idea to write the formula you use down and put as much working as you can

but if you have no time, an answer alone is better than nothing!
