How do you structure a 5 mark question for AS Gov & Pol? Sounds stupid but she just gave us the question with no way of answering it.
Its from the 2011 paper on the British Constitution about un/codified constitutions.

1.Write the plain definition for the key term eg
Partisan dealignment is the idea that people no longer have a strong association towards a party
2.Say when this key term has been more relevant eg
In the 1980 4% of the electorate were members of a political party however by 2005 only 1.3% of the electorate were members
3Relate it to another key term eg Partisan dealignment is due to recency factors becoming more important
4.Define this key term
5. Find a statistic to relate to this keyterm

Are you on the AQA exam board?
I'm currently doing a2 gov and pol and got an A at AS
The structure I used was
1. Define the term
2. Give an example
3. Compare it to the opposite/similar (so if you were asked to define 'cabinet', you could contrast with 'shadow cabinet' or 'backbenches')
4. Link to the terms use in the extract (saying this as I know you receive an extract where the word is used on AQA)
Hope this helps
