Do universities wait for remarks?

Well, I've just got my results. Really upset. I'm on a year out and the results of my January exam retakes are what the universities in my signature want to know about. If I got my biology paper remarked, would the universities wait for the results of the remark until changing their offers to unconditional or rejected or is my fate sealed no matter what the outcome of the remarks?

Such as, what; "Bugger off, I'm going to Cambridge"?

What? No I mean, I am going to get my offers on Thursday, it's as if August is now for me. I mean, what if I don't make my offers and get rejected. Might they accept me after a remark?

I've a 'remark' for you: it's re-mark, for ****'s sake.

Did your offers say anything about needing to meet the conditions by March? If not, I'd say you'd definitely be able to wait for a re-mark (some people on here are so bloody pedantic!) or even resit again in the summer, as Juno said. Wait and see what happens on Thursday. If they accept you anyway, great. If they reject you, tell them you're getting a remark and ask if you can resit if your grade doesn't change. If they don't do anything, check with them to make sure, but it would probably mean you have until August to meet your offer, so your January results wouldn't actually matter that much.
