# S2: Some things... watch

1. Can someone give me a quick refresher in the following in exchange for my eternal gratitude and some rep? An example for each would be just dandy.

- Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient
- Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient
- Least Squares Regression

I thank you.

- Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient
.
Spearmans rank, to find out how two sets of data relate order-wise, using the formula 1-(6Ed^2/n(n^2-1))
where E is sum of!
n is the number of data
d is the difference between ranks
- Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient
Also a measure of correlation between two sets of data, measured using the r value, where +1 is perfect +ive correlation
-1 perfect -ive correlation:
There are variations of the formula:
Sxy/sqrtSxxSyy... check a formula booklet...
- Least Squares Regression
YOu mean Least Squares regression line?
thats the theoretical line of best fit, there's also a formula for that

hope it helps
