hi there

does anyone know how long it takes for them to get back to you re:final assesment day?

had mine on friday, but finished v.late, so probs wouldnt have heard back that day? how long does it take normally?

Hey,
I am applying for the vacation scheme so my final round was an interview which I had on thursday but still waiting, they said they would get back to me within 3 days so I am hoping to hear the news today.
Our recruitment process was different, my 1st round was the etray assessment day, i heard I was successful in that after about 8 days..!
I hope they get back to me sooner since this was the final round, I just want to know if I have it or not, hate waiting for a phone call/email!

It *should* take them 2 days to get back to you - if you haven't heard anything after a week then phone up the lazy person in HR who probably just forgot to call you!

They usually take a bit longer with SVS applications because they have so many people at the assessment stage and only a few places to offer so they wait until they've completed a round of assessment days before coming to their decision. When I did the SVS it was 8 days before I found out I had a place, whereas my friend who found out she got a place before she even left the office (she was the last to have her assessment day!).

Still not heard, it is something that puts me off Deloitte a bit. So unprofessional to say you will get back within three days and then not doing it.
And if I have been rejected a generic email surely does not take too long too forward.

how do they normally do it? is it phone to say u got it and email to say you havent? is that it normally?

i'm not too sure but i heard some ppl found out through phone and some through email....so you may even be succesful and told through email....

Still not heard, 4th business day of waiting, considering calling them. In the means time been invited and booked a Ernst and Young assessment day just in case Deloitte shun me.

Successfully through to the next round or successful in receiving a job/internship offer?
Seems a bit weird to be offered a job through email communication, seems a lot more appropriate to call you

Called them up, they said they were collating all the info and will get back to me shortly.
Just got an email, I got a place on the vacation scheme! WOO!

it was an internship offer and it was done through email..i thought it was rather odd as well but i got it and thats all that matters...heheh :smile:

Nice man, I am chuffed with my offer. V weird it being offered through email and just contracts sent. Not sure if it was for my first choice office/which rotation scheme period it was! I hope to god it was for the 1st one, from like end june- mid august because I have my other internship starting just after that.
Which office did you apply too?

Sweet, I am doing the audit/tax in London as well. I think there are, one between like end June-mid August and Early August - mid September, or round about then as far as I know.
If we get the same intake then I guess I will see you on the course :smile:

I am quite excited as well, if it was anything like my BDO contract though it will be HENCH and take a good hour to go through.
Oh cool, my mum was from Malaysia as well, I think I am something like 1/16th actual Malaysian amongst many other races.
