At that stage I guess it's just enjoy life and live it to the fullest.

I think that I learnt most of what I need to know in later life before I reached the age of twenty.

Now that I'm past twenty, I'm learning about Waffen SS squad and platoon-level tactics and equipment from 1943 to 1945.

It's rather more fun than learning something boring like personal ambitions or inner strenght :s-smilie:

I'm in my 20s and I've already accepted who I am and I don't actually care what people think. Some people never learn this though!

I think your 20s are mainly about learning what the world around you is really like.

i think it's about learning more about yr self & just generally 'growing up'. us 20 somethings r probably beginning proper work, thinking about moving out frm home etc...there's a lot to start switching on to. it's a time 4 makng new friends and possibly letting go of old ones.

what else are we supposed to learn during our 20s about who we are, relationships, life in general?

That your teenage years were the best years of you're life but they're gone now and all that's left is an alcohol-hazed blur of memories

That's what we're supposed to learn when we're in our 20s :wink:

If my teenage years are supposed to be the best years of my life then **** me I might as well just kill myself now because life is just going to get worse.

They were worst years of my existence. So glad they're behind me ;yes;

In your 20s you will probably learn the following things;

1) how to take real responsibility
2) that some people (okay, a lot of people) will happily screw you over
3) that, in the end, you are just a teeny blip in the universe.
4) that actions have consequences that can mess you up.
5) that "sorry" doesn't cut it anymore
6) that age and seniority does not equate to common sense, competence and intelligence
7) that bureaucracy is to be avoided at all costs

Hmm

I like my 20s better than my teens. I have a great job, money to spend on me, and excellent friends. I also know what my weaknesses are. And I am aware of my actions effects. If that makes sense.

I just had lots of "Eureka" moments when I figured stuff out, which happened before I was 25.

I dunno, I turn twenty in a week and feel as if I have learned all there is.

You'll learn that you never know everything. Whether this be about yourself, life or anything else.

Personally, I've broken some rules I never thought I'd break, and come to terms with a lot of things that plagued my teenage years. I still have a long way to go though.

Oh yeah! That was a shock.

And you also realise that when you thought you know it all in your teens, you were really being an obnoxious ******.

In primary school, you get kicked about a bit, have your artwork ripped up and have your hair pulled. You get over it (or end up with an emotional disorder, in severe cases)

In "real life" you can lose your job, your livelihood, your money and your reputation. And those things don't heal so fast.

"hire a teenager, while they still know everything"

Nah, you experience it at primary school but don't realise till your older!

To the OP people learn and change throughout their lives, if you need advice from your friends you needs advice - no point bottling these things up.

I was exaggerating I guess, but I certainly think one learns it in one's teenage years. It didn't take me 'til passing twenty to realise how untrustworthy many people are
