Can someone please help me? I left school with one higher C, 5 int 2s, 3 As and 2Bs. I was really sick in my 6th year at school. Anyway I done 1 year HNC at college after leaving, (travel and tourism) got an A for my graded unit. I am desperate to do Adult Nursing (big change I know), the entry requirements are highers BBC. Is a HNC worth a number of highers or is it completly different?? Thank you all ))))) I know maybe I need to go to college just wondering )

A HNC is generally a level 4 qualification and highers are level 3 I believe (sorry my knowledge of scottish qualifications isn't the best) but as its in travel and tourism you probably couldn't count it towards a nursing application.
I think you should contact the universities you're interested in to see what they say but i think you might need to consider a year access to he nursing course at college to be honest.

Hi Rockyxo,

It is worth speak to Universities you want to go to. See what they accept. Depend on when you did. An Access course may help you be ready more than Tourism as very different study. Good luck though. I am do an Access course online with Harriet and Ellis and they have lots of info to help so you can speak to them and they will point you in right direction.
