Resitting units

Hi, After resitting one AS module in each subject, my AS grades now stand at AAB. However, in order to secure more UMS marks, I am resitting a further 4 modules in my A-level subjects. Say if I get these grades in August, and choose to go through Clearing or reapply in September for some of the higher universities, do I stand a chance of being accepted as 7 of my 18 units will have been with resits. Do unis attach as much credibility to resits taken during the course of the A-levels (excluding candidates who resit after the August results day).
Thanks

if I understood correctly I don't think the fact they are resits will matter at all. All the universities will know is your overall results (if you apply next year), not whether they are a result of a resit or not.

I thought it had changed now, so that they receive all grades including any resits

I'm not sure whether unis will know you've done resits or not. If they don't, it will obviously be fine. If they do, it probably won't look great that you've resat over a third of all your units, but I don't think unis really care unless you resit a whole year, and even then it's only the top unis and the most competitive courses that don't like it.

Universities normally make offers based on achieving certain grades withing the 2 year course, and only see the final grades...they won't see if you've resat because only your grade goes on Ucas

Is this still the case?
