Hi,
Im thinking of studying more of English literature at home other than school, and I was wondering if I should buy textbooks.
I just started my course in year 10 and I would like to know if using textbooks to study at home is a good way of learning.
If any of you do use textbooks at home to study, please post a link of the textbook linking to Amazon and include some details of the textbook and how detailed it covers the topics you need to know to achieve top marks in IGCSE.
Here are some textbooks I found on the internet...
Cambridge IGCSE Literature in English by Russell Carey - http://www.amazon.com/Cambridge-IGCS.../dp/0521136105
Cambridge IGCSE Literature in English (Workbook) by Russell Carey - http://www.amazon.com/Cambridge-Lite...ish+literature
English Literature for Cambridge IGCSERG by Mark Pedro - http://www.amazon.com/English-Litera...ish+literature
GCSE English: Revision Guide (for GCSE English and GCSE English Literature) (CGP) by CGP Books - http://www.amazon.co.uk/GCSE-English...ish+literature
New GCSE English Literature AQA Poetry Guide: Power & Conflict Anthology - for the Grade 9-1 Course - http://www.amazon.co.uk/GCSE-English...ish+literature
AQA GCSE English Language and English Literature: All-in-One Revision and Practice (Collins GCSE Revision and Practice - New 2015 Curriculum) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/GCSE-English...ish+literature
AQA GCSE Poetry Anthology: Power and Conflict: Revision Guide (Collins GCSE Revision and Practice - New 2015 Curriculum) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-GCSE-Poe...V07AJWZ0R08JKE
AQA GCSE Poetry Anthology: Love and Relationships: Revision Guide (Collins GCSE Revision and Practice - New 2015 Curriculum) - http://www.amazon.co.uk/AQA-GCSE-Poe...HZQP19QZCBNA89

Textbooks can be good if that is how you learn best, but I don't think it's for everyone.
Why don't you try getting books from Wordery instead? Delivery is free and they're also offering discounts on a bunch of study guides right now so you can buy a ton and see which ones are best for you!
