Interview for ESRC studentship at oxford

Hi, I hope someone can help. I've been accepted at oxford to do an mphil in development studies but now have an interview at oxford for an esrc studentship. As part of the interview I have to present my research project.

This is pretty difficult as I just don't know how much detail is expected at this stage (I've emailed but they can't give me any more information). I've seen a friends application for esrc funding but his was for +3 so he'd done a masters and had developed it then. From what I understand the mphil is meant to be for developing the proposal.

At the moment I am not that strong on research methodology. Has anyone been through this before and would have any idea what they expect?
