C3 trig - where have I gone wrong?

I'm doing a question where I have to solve x for 0 degrees < x < 360 degrees and have gone wrong

Can someone help?

That second to bottom line is wrong. You haven't multiplied the half by cos^2(x) o the RHS

What have you done in the second to last line?

I have multiplied every thing by cos^2x (although forgot to times 1/2 by cos^2x)

Also I changed sin^2x to (1-Cos^2x) using the trig identity

Once I've done that does what I've got makes sense?

Also - is it just 1/2 x cos^2x = 1/2cos^2x
