What is the area like?

Hey, I'm thinking of applying to Brunel for 2016, and I was just wondering what the area is like. How far is it from central London, how easy it is to get there, and do people actually go out there on nights or social events? What is night/social life like around the local area? And what is the area like overrall, is it really rural, and not like a city? I really want to live in London for the city experience, but I also want to go to a good university (and Brunel seems really good, besides the location :frown:

) I live in a small countryside village, and I absolutely HATE it, so I don't want this to be a repeat of the life I'm trying hard to escape.

Well I'm from a small town in Buckinghamshire , I've been to Brunel , it's in Uxbridge , it has a pretty decent night life and if you want to get to central London the tube is so close to the uni! , but I'm actually commuting not planning on staying out there!
