How late do lectures finish????

Is it possible for some lectures to last from, lets say, 5.00pm - 8.00pm?
Not that I've ever done economics nor do I know which uni you go to but, last year, I had a 3 hour lecture from 3pm-6pm every couple of weeks...
So, I know they can go up to 6, later I'm not sure about though. =l
The latest my seminars/lectures finish this semester is 6. However, I have a flatmate who has a lecture from 6-8 so I'm assuming it can happen, though I'm not sure how often.
I have lectures twice a week and each day , I have 3 hour , break then another 3 hour one.

My weeks are kinda like this except I have a 3 hour lecture, 1 hour gap and another 3 hour lecture (every other Tuesday).

It varies university to university... the latest mine went to was 8pm.
