depends what kind of scars they are.. are they just on the skin or are they scars from like, stitches..?

if just on your skin, i'd suggest cocoa butter.. does the trick for stretchmarks too.. =)

saying that, they won't go straight away.. it's going to take some time to get rid of them.

i think anti-aging creame works too, but that's much more expensive than cocoa butter.

BIO OIL

it's really good.

It's a bit costly at around £8 a bottle (well, where my mum buys it from anyway). But you only need to rub in a few drop twice a day for a few weeks and they will visibly disappear.

you can get plaster-type things from chemists that you wear at night for about 4 weeks and they reduce/remove scarring (depending on how bad it is).
I'm not sure how much they are to buy though because I remember them being quite expensive...

i had the same sort of thing for a while but time is the greatest healer and all gone now.

You could get them filled professionally, but I think that's quite costly :s:

I had a friend who, from an accident she had as a tot, had a scar on her forehead and recently had that removed by a laser clinic however it was a couple hundred dollars...

As mentioned time is a great healer.

I have plenty of scars from rugby and such, and they are good conversation starters, though obviously sometimes you dont wanna talk about them.

Often depends on the depth and width of the orginal cut as to how long the scar tissue will take to heal up and fade.

I have a raised scar, will bio oil work on that?

Bio-oil, vitamin E oil/cream and products such as Mederma can help. You have to massage them in - it's more the massaging that helps break up the scar tissue. It won't happen instantly, and don't expect them to disappear, but over time that can help

I'm told Emu-oilw orks great, but think that is on fresh scars.
other than that, its just a matter of concealers.
