No, but the fact he picked up on the fact that he thought i was close to exceeding my word count (i did 1988 words), proves that his 40 years as a university lecturer has given his some ability to judge!


No he's crap, because he should have spotted you were under the word count specified as that is as much of a 'crime' according to his rules as going over.

He's just a lecturer, he doesn't have the ability to know how many words there are in an essay precisely by guess work alone. However, i imagine if i had exceeded the word count by say, 100 words, he would definately have noticed.

I've written 1400 words for 2000 word essays, and managed above 60 for them.

I know that feeling... Pulled an all-nighter on Saturday.. But it's always been worht it once you're done!
