    i think it did change the validity of the test because i said "The outlier means the underlying distribution is no longer bivariate normal - it is skewed" - and what i'd learnt to just accept is that hypothesis testing of pmcc should only be done on bivariate normal data. Of course, because i havent been bothered to actually understand what's going on, i may well be wrong. But i think that with these questions they may accept either way (It is still valid, or it is invalid), because in mark schemes i have seen, you get your mark for justifying your answer. If saying the distribution is no longer normal is a justification, then i hope i'd still get the mark
