Part- time jobs in Birmingham- how easy/ hard??!??

I am considering putting Birmingham uni as my firm uni choice but i was wondering how hard is it to get a part time job there in Birmingham?? Seeing as there are thousands of uni students living in Birmingham and together with two other unis it might be a bit hard to get a job there. I expect like 99% of students have a part time job to help pay for all the expenses that come with living at the university.

Bham is like all placed if its the right time of the year its relativly easy to get a job. Its a big place. It just depends how much u are willing to travel and whether you know the bham area (I have lived there and i go to the uni)

The guild has a cool jobzone with listing on and off campus. Its hard to get a job like on campu, selly oak or The city centre (unless bar work) in general as there are alot of students

Its a great uni hope it helps !

Also...last time i went to the bullring...they have these infomation points and you can see all the jobs available within all the shops in the bullring...which i thought was kinda cool... saves going round allllll the shops and asking!

Hey
it's definately not hard at all to get a job in B'ham....the Guild of students (in the campus) has its own JobZone...theres lot of job offers there, which are recommended by the uni (above minimum wage, good hours, etc) ....and there are also many jobs in the guild itself, like receptionist-work or working at Joes bar....don't worry, you'll definately get a job!!!

if you want a job in the bullring you have to get there first before anyone else. the best thing is to apply before september. i tried handing out cv's late september last year but most shops already had loads of cv's and weren't accepting anymore. although there's lots of shops and hotels in the city centre for students to work in. i'm now working in the bullring and everyone i work with are students so it's not that hard to hard a job
