Approaching a girl

Hi, ive had the problem of making it clear that i like someone early enough adn then it fizzles out and she gives the excuse "lets just be friends".

Ive been told that generally its best if guys make it blatently obvious early on that you like someone. However, theres the possibitlity girls may find this a bit desperate, espcially if you dont know them well at all (like seen them only 3/4 times before)

SO how can you make it blatenty obvious you like someone without coming across as desperate?

Communication.
Try something old-fashioned like asking a girl out for dinner - many a time this has been done on a first meeting - let alone the 3rd or 4th.

Such a meeting can be construed as innocuos by both parties, and asking for such a "date" hardly comes across as "desperate", does it.

Don't use dinner as the first date. Something cheap - a walk by the river, coffee, I usually decide when I'm there (often they're boring as ****, so its a good thing).

I'd say often the "lets just be friends" comes because you were being too nice to her, respecting her opinion more than your own, really just doing anything and everything just to please her.

Anyway, to let her know, you don't have to do everything she says, or tell her outright. Its pretty much just assuming she likes you. Its all situational, but that's the easy way. Through words, not actions. Raping someone will not get them to like you.

^ What Yellowmarshmellow said and nice compliments ... It's about making a girl feel special, if you say sweet things then it will get you a long way. Don't go overboard though, there is a fine line between compliments and just being cheesy. Make sure you're sincere and never come across as cocky or arrogant too.
