Will a question in the exam ever ask to add two algebraic fractions using the lowest comon multiple? I find it easier just using the standard way then cancelling down.

what is the standard way?

they will just ask you to simplify, so any way you choose will be fine

thanks, i just ment finding a comon demoninator by multiplying top and bottom of the fraction.
