Do you have a best friend?

Do you have a friend or anyone you can tell your deepest secrets to?, i don't. I have lots of good friends, but none which i think should be considered as "best".

I have a couple people that would be happy for me to tell them anything and I know I can. I don't though, I like to have some things to myself.
being able to tell someone everything doesn't make them your best friend there are other things that constitute it.

I have about 4/5 who i would class at 'best friends' but only one who is truly my BEST friend. In seven years of friendship we have never argued once, we can tell eachother anything, we always 'have eachothers backs' and we spend about 80% of the time laughing which is key to any friendship! You never get bored of spending time with your best friend.

Yeah I do, my best friend is my ex boyfriend. Sounds a bit dodgy but we've managed okay for the last 6 months. He's pretty much the only person I trust with anything.

Yes; I could tell him anything.

That doesn't mean I do, but I could - just because he's my best friend there's no obligation, and vice versa. Doesn't stop me worrying 'bout him though...

My husband is the only one that I tell everything to.

A close second would be my friend Amy. I've known her for 6 years (we met in college). She comes to visit almost every Friday and she is my daughter's godmother.

Only one other person do I tell almost everything to and that is my cousin Pierre. He lives in France though so I only see him about once a year. We talk on msn all the time though - we tell each other, well, virtually everything.

I guess that's it.

I have one whom I trust very much. I do have a lot of "good" mates. For me, it boils down to trust. I have a hard time trusting people because of what some people have done in the past to me or others.

I can tell a lot of people a lot of stuff because I don't hold too many secrets (i forget the ones I do have, so even if i'm totally drunk no1 will ever know :-) )

Tbh...I tell my Moms a lot...not like bitching about people. Just what im going thru and so she's always got me if i need help. Well actually i noticed my girl mates will help if they know my problems....i dont bother telling my guy mates...we all got our own **** going on

I think it's a bad idea to have one 'best' friend. What happens if you fall out, or they suddenly disappear? Unless you have other close friends, it could leave you feeling very lonely indeed.

Sounds like you have some very serious commitment issues...LMAO kiddin

it's hard to trust people because of that.

Some people are the opposite they trust because of those reasons..

I have a few best friends. They are all different and I couldn't say I like one better than the others even though I have one best best friend, she's great, she's the most wonderful friend you could ever have. They are great and I think I am really lucky to have them.
It will come though. Don't worry. I've known some of my best friends for ages and others only for a few years. You'll see, one day you'll just know that someone's your best friend.
You might not tell them EVERYTHING though, it's normal to keep some things to yourself, or to tell them only part of the truth... That doesn't mean they're not your best friends though.

Yeah i do, but i hadn't had one for god knows how long. I think the thing with best friends is they turn up when you least expect them too and i knew almost instantly that this girl was gonna be a great friend, i've only known her since september and we can say absoloutely anything to each other, she is most definately my best friend. It doesn't matter if you don't have a best friend, as long as you have friends. I'd be a mess without my friends that i had when i didn't have a best friend and without them i wouldn't be where i am now and therefore would not have met my best friend.

I've got three girly pals I'd regard as my best friends on a normal level, I know we've always got each other's backs, but the person who knows me best, absolutely and completely is my boyfriend.

Which is hardly a surprise, considering we were best friends even before we got together :smile:

I have 2 best friends. 1 is a girl and the other is a boy. I tell the girl girly stuff and my guy problems and with the guy i ask him his opinion on what is happening in my life with guys. Its fun but they have never met before so thats something thats coming up on my calender. the girl has been my bf for 8 years and the guy for 3 years.
