Universities Near Skateparks?

Well Im asking what it says on the title?

Im sorta looking for a University in close proximity to a skatepark/s.
Would you know of many?

Don't worry about the courses within the uni yet... but Im looking for a relatively good university with a skatepark near...

Im pretty sure most Unis in london will have some close.
And Im also aware Dundee Has a concrete park near, as well as the factory skatepark a few miles away.

Any help? Google doesnt quite cut it.

No offence, but you really ought to reconsider your priorities.

Whether a uni has a skatepark nearby or not doesn't seem to be the best reason to apply there.

Ooooh yeeeaaaah... I vaguely remember running around on that, whilst pissed off my face, at about 2am. Then I tried to jump a fence and fell flat on my ****. Good times!

the whole city of plymouth is skate heaven. i dont know of any parks... certainly havent seen any in my wanderings near the uni, but there blatantly will be one somewhere

I've seen people walking around campus (Leicester) with skateboars... Maybe they just board in instead of walking though...

Ooh, and there are always skaters in central Manchester, particularly by URBIS. No idea if there's a skate park as such.

One tip; look up university websites (particularly the studen union section) and see if they have skater societies. I know Manchester has a Snowboarding Society, must have a Skateboarding one too surely.

Its just like anyone saying they want to go to wales, because they like the accent or scencery. ( OR WHATEVER )
Skating is my life, and I dont want to lose it, winter is **** enough in with weather, theres no parks in Northern Ireland... hence i Cant skate much and Im losing it.

portsmouth university has a nice skatepark right on southsea

theres a halls about 1 minute walk from it.

Ok then, it is rubbish. It is filled with local gangs of youths. While I have no problem with said teenagers enjoying their hobby and staying away from drugs and what not it means that when you try to enjoy your time their you inevetably have some little ****head interrupting you, moaning at you and generally filling the park up so it is unusable to anyone slightly older.

The university of Warwick seems to have quite a few skateparks and bowls near the uni, but fortunately they rejected me :frown:

Well I used to, Im just getting back into the swing of things after messing my ankle on a 10 set 6 months ago.

I can still do all the basics Ollie 180's, kickflips, heelflips, varials for both, FS Flips hardflips, 360 flips, all that fakie and some nollie stuff...

Juts really getting it all back, its sorta sloppy apart from a few nice poppy kicks/heels and fs flips.

But the weatehr is slowing me down, I should be right on track again in no time, and esp summer :biggrin:

I love skating mini ramps, I can fairly hold up on them if theres ever any about...
