getting into relationships at uni

I've just finished my second term at uni, I'm enjoying the work and I have some good friends but the total lack of romantic interest is getting me down - I have literally never felt so unattractive - I just miss the fun of romantic intrigue. Everyone seems to be in a long term relationship or not wanting to be in one. The collegiate system (I'm at Oxford) also makes it hard to meet new people and sustain friendships with them. Any help or advice?

I'm enjoying the work

Might this be the problem?

If you want something to happen maybe you need to be more pro-active. If you like someone ask them for their number, get to know them....

Its not always fun and you might be sparing yourself some heart ach here. Its great that your enjoying uni and work, carry on enjoying, dont waste your time worrying about what will probably happen eventualy. I get its a pain, but if you rush into a 'romantic intrigue' for the sake of it, it might get messy. Just be patient.
