Am I being paranoid?

My friend Claire and I on my corridor were planning to do laundry after lunch today. After lunch, I went to get her, and she was in our other friend's room. She asked that friend (Rachel) if she wanted to come with us to do laundry, and Rachel said no, she was doing an essay. As soon as Rachel said that, Claire suddenly decided she didn't want to do laundry anymore. Does she not want to spend time with me, or am I just being paranoid?

I would say a bit paranoid. Perhaps they were talking about something and she wanted to keep talking. You should have asked to do laundry at another time with her. If this has been the only time like this, there is nothing to worry about.
