The Student Room Group

What would you think if....

Your 30 something, very attractive doctor at uni had you in her office, was wearing a short skirt with black fishnets underneath, whilst looking at soething at the back of the room, extended out her legs crossed them, scratched her tights near her knee tantalisingly, then said 'Before you go *name*, I'm going to ask you to do something for me?' This then followed by her asking me to fill in a survey.

This is obvious teasing to me, and how could someone be so unprofessional and risky?

I should add that this followed on from another occasion where I was embarrassed when she came at me in a very full on, forthright way, and said 'What can I do for you?' when she had me in her office, which put all sorts in my head, and she reacted angrily to this, but then seemed to change her mind and be apologetic for it, culminating in the abve incident. I should add that I think she knew I was seriously attracted to her

whatever!! this is such bs, if she does exist she'd want you to stop posting your fantasies about her to the internet!

I assure you it's 100% true. Why would I make it up? I can't believe that someone would be so arrogant to think they had such power over you that they could act so unprofessional, but she was a charismatic and arrogant person.

OK, well on both of these occasions she has only actually said things that are entirely normal. Asking a patient "What can I do for you today?" is a very common opener. It seems like a lot of it could be down to interpretation. She hasn't actually done anything inappropriate as far as I can see, apart from maybe to make you think she's being too flirty when really she's doing her job.

I have to agree with Helenia, they are perfectly normal things to say in a consultation and perhaps you just percieved them differently due to your attraction to her, however the outfit does sound a little much for work

With the first incident, I agree entirely, that was my fault. But with the second, she was manipulating the fact I found her attractive and teasing me, there's no ambiguity about it. I mean short skirts and fishnet tights and verbal innuendo in reference to the first incident? She must be mad....

This woman might not have a clue that she is teasing you. It's possible that this woman just see's it as her being friendly, she might be completely oblivious to the fact that she is "teasing" you. It's really easy to misjudge a situation and it's possible that this is the case. You might just have picked up on her friendly nature as flirting. All this woman has done is spoken to you, she hasn't actually done anything....

Edit: You think she went out of her way to "tease" you? You think that this woman actually got up this morning and thought "Oh, i'm seeing so and so today, it's time to get the short skirt and fishnets out!"? I doubt it.

But it's highly unlikely she was wearing the outfit specifically for your benefit-any one of her patients that day could've claimed that unless she changed right before and after seeing you.

No I don't think that, but I think it's someone who's aware of their power and sexuality and seems to think they can get away with anything. I also have to add that the second incident has to be seen in reference to the fact that she knew of the first incident, so that makes it worse, as she knew about the attraction and the first verbal 'faux pas', or misinterpretation on my part, and yet she did it again, which leads me to think it was conscious teasing and game playing
