You probably have them because of the whole growing at puberty thing, i have them and am using bio oil and cocoa biutter at the mo which seems to be fading them. When i see them on people i don't think it's horrible at all because most people have them, no one really notices them because they're so common.
Of all the things to turn me off a guy, stretch marks aren't one of them! Like most people, I don't notice them unless they're pointed out to me. Everyone has them.
Well, I have them all over my boobs!! Poor things :p: I sometimes wonder why my partner puts up with me  They're faded now tho so aren't too noticeable.
Haha I have stretch marks, 3 along my back. They're occur during puberty where your skin stretches in response to a quick growth spurt apparantly. They go away though in time, or at least according to my derm they do.

Thing is I'm only over 5 ft7 so I'm not sure why I still have them I've not grown for very long time and if I have at all, it's not obviously been very much.

I got them. On my back, shoulders and biceps. The bicep ones are a little wrong, but the others I'm not bothered with. Out of sight, out of mind and all. Anyway, bio oil helps loads. Its made for it.

do toning excercises, they help make the skin a bit taughter, its a long haul getting there, but its worth it in the end, you'll be nice and firm for years to come!

I have had them on my shoulders, under my arms and my sides for years. They really annoy me because they are so damn obvious (when I am topless). I have used almost a whole tube of Bio Oil on them and it seems to have had no affect. I have turned down many invitations to the swimming pool as a result.

There's been a few threads on this, do a search.

Bio-Oil is good at making them fade, try boots for a bottle.

Get it at Savers - they're cheaper

Ive got them on my hips and under my arms. It completely normal to have them; people are extremely lucky if they dont!
I have them on my hips and the front of my stomach! :frown:

I wouldn't think 'eurgh gross' if I saw another girl (or guy for that matter), with lots of stretch marks, as obviously loads of people have them! Although I hate having them myself, I've never tried to treat them in anyway... they've faded over the past few years though!

Do you think this bio- oil would get rid of them completely? Or at least make them much less noticeable?

Ive used bio oil and that seems to have made no diff atall to mine.
But i bought some cheap coco butter from superdrug and it seems to be alot better
I have them everywhere its a joke.
And not a funny one lol :p:
I have them on my hips but they don't bother me too much. I'm on a diet atm and when I lose all my weight, then I'll probably worry about making them fade!

Try to have the required amount of zinc in your diet, via oily fish - tuna- mackerel- salmon, and shellfish, this element is a vital building block in collagen production , so the inclusion of an adequate supply of zinc and weight gain in accordance with growth will prevent the underlying tissue tearing , it isn't the skin itself that tears it's the underlying supporting tissue and the skin acquires marks as a result of this tearing.

Bio-oil is good as is cocoa butter, also try to avoid large degree of weight gain and loss, as a gradual weight loss programme will allow the skin to adjust it's elasticity without acquiring stretch marks.
