I don't think there are any Russell Group unis that will take you in with those predicted grades. The lowest that you can go for a Russell Group uni would be at least an ABB at Liverpool.

I echo the above post, an offer is very unlikely from a Russell Group uni. If you want an offer with those grades for Law try somewhere like UWE Bristol. However, if you wish to go into Law as a profession, you need AAB or above at A level as law firms filter applicants based on this. Many applicants will have AAA and above. If you do not have these law firms will not let you start the application. Law is a VERY VERY competitive profession to get into. You need to go to Oxbridge or a Russell Group uni to have a realistic chance of going into Law...

Source; I will be studying Law at a Russell Group uni as of September

Hi
You will probably get into university of Manchester with those grades! Good luck with your applications!
I think if you apply for ABB/AAB courses and have a strong PS, you should be able to get into one or two at least. Just check for the RG's with the lowest entry requirements. My friend with predictions of AAD got into AAA unis and got 5/5 but had an extremely strong PS. Don't listen to know-it-all TSR students, it is possible. Also if you do achieve ABB/AAB/AAA, you can defo get into an RG for Law through clearing/adjustment. Best of luck.

I dont think so
You need to bite the bullet and apply. Although I was resitting my a levels, when I applied last year I had BCC at a level and received offers from Sheffield and Birmingham, both AAA courses. You need to show passion in your personal statement and if your uni requires the lnat, try to get 25 and higher in it
I second neal96. My A level grades were BBC and I got an offer from Manchester for law which usually requires AAA. So you'll never know till you try!
Definitely not LSE

My predicted grades were BBB but I went above and beyond in the personal statement and was very particular about what I wanted to do career wise and how I am going about it at the moment by reading stuff etc which isn't necessary to get onto the course. I guess I wanted to compensate for my academics but it paid off

Thank you so much!! My predictions are BBB too and I think I'm applying to Sheffield, Liverpool, Northumbria, Birmingham and I'm not sure about the last one, all those requirements range from AAA, ABB, BBB.

I've done a good amount of work experience and reading around the subject as well as being part of University summer schools etc, do you think I have a good chance of getting a Russel Group uni offer?

i can almost guarantee that you will get at least an offer from liverpool, and pretty certain birmingham and sheffield will give you one.

Thank you so much, that's helped reassure me! So many students on here are too doom and gloom!

Can I also ask what Universities you'd recommend me apply to, so far its definitely Sheffield, Liverpool, Northumbria, Birmingham but the fifth is between Manchester, Newcastle or maybe Leeds or Lincoln

I would rule Lincoln out because in a worst case scenario you could always get a place there or somewhere "better"/around the same level in clearing, but it's unlikely because Northumbria will give you an offer I'm guessing. Personally I would either go with Manchester or Leeds, because in my experience Newcastle were a bit obsessed with grades. Manchester has a lot of students and do want good academics too, i think Leeds would be the safest choice there apart from Lincoln. It's a solid school of law

Thankyou! I emailed Manchester today and they will only consider students with predictions of AAB :/
