Hi, So the interview was split into a practical session, where they observed you ability to throw, catch, communicate and work as a team etc, then there was the sit down interview. I went in tot he interview with one other person, so we just bounced answers off each-other regarding things like our aspirations and our past.

Happy to help with any more questions.

James

When you provided the 5 minute teaching session, what kind of things were done?

I decided to teach basketball. I first introduced bouncing the ball standing still, and then on the move. This then moved onto bouncing on the move with a pass. It was very simple and i had taken a plan with me with some research but I don't think the lecturers chose to look at that.

Before this took part, the lecturers put on a 10 minute warm up of simple ball and movement skills to gauge a basic understanding of our physical literacy.

Hope this was of some help.

Ok thanks a lot, I was thinking of doing some dribbling and ball control for football. Am I putting on the lesson for someone of my age?

Hello, I've just spoken to Admissions who said:

"All applicants are considered on an individual basis and although applicants with an academic background in Sport/Physical Education is preferable, we do consider applications from students who have studied in unrelated areas as long as they are able to demonstrate their /understanding for the profession."

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
