dark eyes... a cure?

For about a year or 2 years ive had some dark skin on my eyelids and just under my eyes... im 20 now and i really dont get it because i sleep adequately (i dont have a regular sleeping cycle of recent but i sleep 9+ hours a day) and i drink plenty of water so i don't really get it why i have these patches?? Any idea on how to fix this? I have a regular diet, and life isn't that stressful right now (2nd term of uni). Any products?

lol its either stress, you're worried or you're using your eyes too much for too long. do you sit on the computer alot? do you use your computer in the dark? do you read in poor light? they all contribute to BLACK EYES!
try the cucumber patches you can get for eyes, and refreshing waterdrops daily and use your glasses if you're blind. that helps too ^^

basically for me anyway, sleeping too much in a night makes dark eye circles worse aswell as not enough sleep would do!

ie if you sleep over 9 hours + they will get worse as if you only slept 3 hours.

MY TIP: sleep between 7 to 8 and a half hours and they should be fine, so basically stop sleep 9+ hours a day its making them worse!

thanks and yeah i do sit at the computer alot its part of my course, but i dont get it i dont really see people in the IT profession with dark eyes!
I have this problem 2..but its not jst dark circles i get, i also have really puffy eyes and there seems to be nothing i can do about it. I have some eye cream which seems to help the dark circles, which you can get from boots (jst any eye cream!)
Putting a teaspoon in the freezer for 5mins then putting it over your eyes for one minute also helps for a little bit.
One if the biggest causes of dark circles is dehydration..you probs wont think you are but in order to get rid of them drink at least 2 litres of water a day. it will take time but it does help!!

And any one have any ideas for puffy eyes??
What cured mine was not being stressed and depressed.
aneamia can make it worse too so if you have any other symptoms then see your doctor

A product called EYESENTIAL works miracles for puffy eyes.

Use green concealer on them if you're going for a night out. It sounds daft but trust me- I had a makeover a little while back and that tip worked wonders!
Green concealer works, as Marianne said. You might also try cucumber slices (the old standby), used peppermint teabags (stick them in the fridge for a bit first), and eye cream. Having a regular sleeping cycle might help too, but it's also a good idea to be screened for any underlying health problems.

I've got them but im pretty sure its a genetic thing. My mom has very bad dark circles under her eyes. I just cover them with a bit of make up
But yellow concealer on anything that has a bluish tint. The yellow neutralizes the blue. After you apply this, apply your regular foundation and then a powder.

just use that gel stuff, i reckon you can get it in boots, just blast it on in the mornin, i use it after i shave
well you should have a "regular" sleeping pattern - coz the body needs to have a routine to follow, think of it this way:
sleep at 9 -wake up at 6 -- body thinks that it should always wake up at 6
next day: sleep at 11 - wake up at 10 -- the body is knocked off of its cycle and is unstable --

your body basically becomes confused -

keep a good sleeping pattern + continue with the high intake of water and the dark circles should disappear
Get off the dope and booze?
