Hi,

Im currently through my UCAS process at college and i've been told to consider unis and courses. I've looked at unis such as westminster, keele, manchester, durham and leeds for courses such as biomed and pharmacy. westminster has emailed me saying they would accept me, now I'm in a dilemmas to whether the uni's are good because i've read some reviews and the uni is 104th on the ranks. can anyone tell me the pros (obviously the location) and cons westminster uni?? also please can you suggest which uni would be the best option. i was going to have westminster uni as my first choice and i have to decide next week. please reply!!

Thankss

Hi,

Thanks for considering the University of Westminster as one of your choices. Ideally we advise students to come along to an open day to meet with academics and current students, to see the facilities on campus and to get a feel for the University and a taste of studying in the heart of London.

Our Biomedical and Bioscience courses are taught at our Central London Cavendish campus .You can take a virtual tour of the campus here to get an idea of the size and feel of the teaching laboratories for these courses.

The Biomedical Science BSc Honours course is accreditedby the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and graduates can register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as Biomedical Scientists. IBMS professional qualifications enable you to demonstrate your expertise to your future healthcare employers and colleagues. The course has a strong emphasis on developing and using your practical skills in our recently refurbished specialist laboratories. There is also the opportunity to take a sandwich placement year to gain valuable work experience.

You can DM me, send an email to [email protected] or call 020 7915 5511 and we can provide you with the contact details for the course leader and you can discuss the courses in detail with them.

Hope this helps

Patrick
