I noticed just over a week ago two light brown blemishes have appeared below my breast, one is the size of a 1p and the other is smaller than a 5p. I am frightened and know the best thing is to see a doctor. I fear it is the result of the sun even though I am not a sun addict and cover myself in factor 50. Anyone else got scared when they found something?

How brown are they? Really brown or just slightly discoloured?

Greetings anonymous 1.

I ask you to please do your best not to be too concerned. Skin blemishes are normal and every so often they do happen. The chances are it is nothing to worry about.

HOWEVER,
doctors are nice and friendly. They particularly enjoy talking to people with skin blemishes. You are right in thinking it is worth popping in to ask about it.

I have done the same. My GP referred me on to a specialist (just to be cautious) and all was fine. They may do little tests on you and they will ask questions like 'is skin cancer in the family?' and 'when did you first notice them?'

In the mean time, don't fret. I'm sure that there is nothing to worry about but better safe than sorry y'know  . You can't acheive anything by worrying anyway.

Probably nothing, but if you are unsure go to the doctors I guess.
